Skerries Bistro was opened in 2008, originally in the conservatory of the house. However, in 2014 a new restaurant was built just 80 metres from the cliff. The all glass building was acquired and recycled having been previously a marketing suite for a major project in the centre of Birmingham. The Bistro has been designed to make sure that every table has a fantastic view of the Pentland Firth.
The restaurant specialises in seafood. Burwick Harbour is two miles from the property, where crabs and lobsters are brought in daily. Hamish smokes the fish we serve in the restaurant, our speciality being Hot Smoked Salmon. Other seasonal produce arrives from a number of local suppliers. All fish is taken whole and filleted in our kitchen by our chefs.
We make all our desserts and cakes.
We cater for most dietary needs but it is always good to know at the time of your booking.
