Skerries Bistro is a bespoke 'all glass' building located 80 metres from the cliff with views across the Pentland Firth.
Carole and Hamish Mowatt who own and run the bistro share the same enthusiasm for affordable good food made with local and seasonal ingredients. Our goal is to present a great meal with food simply prepared, fine service and a comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy your time out.
Burwick Harbour is two miles from the property, where crabs and lobsters are brought in daily. Hamish smokes the fish we serve in the restaurant, our speciality being Hot Smoked Salmon. Other seasonal produce arrives from a number of local suppliers. All fish is taken whole and filleted in our kitchen by our chefs.
We employ a specialist pastry, cake and dessert chef, who makes everything on our menu here.
We cater for most dietary needs but it is always good to know at the time of your booking.
